The State Bar of California’s board of trustees have voted in favour to allow this provision for a pilot run

Under this new pilot run scheme the law graduates will have to work four to six months under an experienced Attorney.

The Law grads would have to submit a proper report of their key learnings and have to provide the case studies they have performed under the attorney.

After they submit the report, they would be granted admission into the bar based on the report evaluation by an experienced committee.

The state bar has provided its endorsement for this pilot portfolio bar exam, but there is still something left.

This pilot portfolio bar exam has to be approved by the California Supreme Court. Only after that this pilot can be adopted and implemented.

A similar program has been adopted by the Oregon Supreme court, and this programme is going to start in May,2024
